Beyond the Frame

BEYOND THE FRAME  is a celebration of work created by Barnes Artists, a group of professional and semi-professional artists formed in southwest London in 2018. 

The village of Barnes is a beautiful leafy neighbourhood, bordered by the River Thames to the North, Barnes Common to the South and the London Wetland Centre to the East. With Richmond Park on our doorstep, we have an open landscape teeming with trees and wildlife and our surroundings offer endless artistic inspiration.

This book showcases exquisite paintings, detailed drawings, inventive prints, stunning ceramics and ethereal sculptures that bear witness to the inspiration our members have found here in Barnes. Many of the artworks
in the collection reflect our deep love for this remarkable part of London, though you will also find some other artworks that prove we do actually venture out from time to time.

We hope we have captured the essence of Barnes, its hidden corners and open spaces and that you enjoy exploring through our artistic eyes.
