What are you working on now?
I am currently creating a new collection of images whilst finalising images for exhibition and developing new ways of creating and presentation on a large scale. I have a few collaborative projects underway too that I will be launching Spring of 2021. My practice is going through a transformation which is exciting.

How has lockdown affected your work?
Lockdown allow the time to contemplate my practice and implement the changes that I wanted to make which was positive!

I loved the slower pace to life, the simplicity, the pulling together of community, the freedom to breathe more deeply, and how Nature regenerated so quickly, the sound of the birds was very welcome and the clear uninterupted blue Skys and the absence of ambient noise from air and road traffic was most welcome ... the slower pace to life it relates a lot to my art practice, reconnecting with nature and becoming whole...

A lot of art projects, collaborations and shows were delayed and or cancelled which causes one to become adaptable, employ patience and trust whilst discovering other ways of working.

Recent technical discovery?
I have a few things underway that I am not ready to reveal just yet, they are still in the experimental stages... all will be revealed soon.

Favourite artist?
This is a tricky one as there are so many. Off the top of my head:
Living artists – Anish Kapoor, Adam Fuss and James Turrell.
No longer living artists – Vermeer, Caravaggio, Andre Kertesz.

Colour you can't do without?
As an artist who works with Light, the primary colours red, green and blue are very important although when working in the darkroom the secondary colours magenta, cyan and yellow are the preferred choice. The way coloured light mixes is very different from the way that paint does. An area of exploration currently is how to record Iridescent light.

Plein Air or Studio?
Both.
Darkroom/Studio for Ilfochrome image creating and sometimes digital composing. Plein air for Lumen image creating and weather dependent can include digital composing too.

Favourite gallery or museum?
Hockney1853 Gallery at Salts Mill, Saltaire and The Guggenheim,
New York.

Barnes Secret for an artist?
Barnes Artists of course ;) And all the cheeky alleyways leading to pockets of nature ... and the river.

Favourite piece of kit?
My eyes and imagination. Together with my darkroom equipment and laptop.

What makes Barnes special to an artist? The gentle community vibe, whilst being surrounded by nature yet being so close to central London.

Next show?
I am currently exhibiting Transformations of Love at 1.5m x 3m piece alongside smaller works at Cafe 66 Barnes.

You can also see my work in Blossom Spa and Boecho Gallery, both in Barnes.

I have a few new pieces in a group photography show in Zagreb, Croatia organised by The Camera Club, London.

I have just hung a solo show of my unique Ilfochrome and editions prints at Bhuti in Richmond, where I will be curating exhibitions by artists who's work is in alignment with Bhuti’s philosophy of connecting inwardly and outwardly in perfect balance for the mind, body and soul to flourish!

A pop up show is in discussion with Boecho Gallery collaborating with a fellow photographer TBC

And I have a show that has been moved from October to Spring 2021 in a fabulous gallery in Athens, Greece to create work for...

Happy Days!
